4BC has assisted ODM Danish Museums in extracting and structuring building and energy data for all their members – from BBR data to detailed energy performance certificate data. The data extraction provides ODM with an overview of building master data.

ODM lacked a comprehensive overview of their members' extensive building portfolio and energy status. 4BC solved this challenge by extracting and structuring critical data from BBR and energy performance certificates for over 1,000,000 m² of building area. The result is a complete data foundation covering everything from year of construction and heating sources to insulation levels and types of technical installations. By integrating this information into a Power BI solution, ODM now has a powerful tool for benchmarking and strategic prioritization. The project creates a solid foundation for the sector's future work on sustainability and energy efficiency improvements across 154 organizations.

Comprehensive Overview of Museums' Building and Energy Data

ODM Danish Museums lacked a comprehensive overview of their building portfolio and energy status. With many members and even more associated buildings, the task was to extract and structure data from BBR and energy performance certificates – and present it in a usable format as a future basis for decision-making.

Results

First Consolidated Overview of Museum Buildings in Denmark

Complete extraction of building data for approximately 150 CVR numbers with information on conservation value, materials, building areas, floors, usage, year of construction, renovation year, heating installations, and solar cells.

Detailed Energy Performance Certificate Data

Extraction of energy performance certificate data specifying the current energy label, uninsulated pipes and ducts, attics, walls, pump types, ventilation systems, U-values, and calculated energy consumption.

Integrated Excel and Power BI Solution

All data compiled in the associated Power BI dashboard for visual analysis, benchmarking, and strategic prioritization across the museum sector.
