Key concepts
- Energy management
- Systematic work with mapping, controlling and improving an organisation's energy use so that energy waste is reduced and improvements are sustained in operations.
- ISO 50001
- International standard for energy management systems, requiring energy review, baseline, energy performance indicators, objectives, action plans, internal audit and continual improvement.
- EnPI (energy performance indicator)
- A metric expressing energy performance, used to verify whether measures actually reduce energy consumption.
- Baseline
- The reference period of energy consumption that improvements are measured against.
- Significant energy use (SEU)
- The systems, processes or buildings responsible for a substantial share of energy consumption, where the improvement potential is greatest.
- Energy label data
- Data from Danish energy performance certificates which, combined with building register data, support portfolio overview and prioritisation of energy measures.
