Based on the desire to free up time and reduce CO2, Holstebro Municipality has chosen a new, data-driven approach to energy management. In close collaboration, we have implemented a solution where AI, digital tools, and intelligent data analysis ensure both energy savings and improved workflow in operations.
AI and Data-Driven Energy Management Frees Up Time in Holstebro Municipality
With a desire to free up resources in the operations organization and simultaneously reduce CO2 emissions, Holstebro Municipality, in collaboration with 4BC, decided to rethink their approach to energy management. For several years, the municipality had collected energy data via an older system, but wanted to switch to a more automated and intelligent model.
Results
Rethinking Data Usage Led to Significant CO2 and Energy Savings
With the help of Ento Labs' AI analysis platform, Holstebro Municipality has achieved documented energy savings of over DKK 400,000/year and significantly reduced its CO2 footprint. The data-driven approach has also freed up employee resources.
Parallel Processes Provided Successes to Build Upon
We worked in parallel on three tracks: Integration of data from utility companies, ongoing implementation of energy initiatives, and organizational development of energy management. Today, the municipality has control over more than 85% of its consumption data.
